Our graduates have gone onto careers in cybersecurity, game design, high-performance computing, database analytics, and machine learning, as well as in software development and engineering at a wide variety of organizations. Recent graduates have taken jobs with such companies as Amazon, Google, International Paper, Real Capital Analytics, Cook Systems International, Summit Engineering, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, FedEx, Axciom, IBM, The Vanguard Group, Information Systems Consultants, Memphis-Shelby County Schools, AutoZone, and ARGO Data Resource Corporation. The employment outlook for computer scientists with liberal arts backgrounds is very strong.
Other recent graduates have pursued master’s and doctoral degrees in computer science or related disciplines at schools such as Brown University, Carnegie Mellon University, Duke University, Georgia Tech, Northeastern University, the University of North Carolina, the University of Texas, the University of Utah, and Vanderbilt University.
